Blipfoto is a cloud photo hosting service, established in 2004. The company went into liquidation on March 11 2015 although the website continues to operate while a buyer is sought. Described as "a major player in the Slow Web movement" , Blipfoto is thought to encompass at least 3.4 million photos and 22 million comments. Blipfoto was bought around March 25, 2015 by Jeffrey Hecktman Chairman and CEO of Hilco Global and Bobby Sager a Director at Gordon Brothers.
